Day Twenty-four

  1. Bob the artist who is 77 and always wears sneakers, black pants, and a black t-shirt under a denim long sleeve.  He shared tonight about his father’s death in World War II and how that taught him early that we lose things.  Loss is part of life.
  2. Heather, who sat there and listened to me for ten minutes go on about not having gotten the Lyme disease business and all the financial insecurity I’ve made for myself.
  3. One day I’ll look back in this and have no idea what “Lyme disease business” I was talking about.
  4. Not having gotten the Lyme disease business.  It’s hard to be grateful for not getting something I wanted, but I’m confident it’s for the best.
  5. My age.  Being 46, I’ve been through this kind of thing before and I know I will live.

Many thanks,

Me
