Day Sixty

  1. This little Two Dots game which is compelling enough and has a built-in delay before you can get new lives.  You can always buy more (brilliant) bug I’m not that addicted and it keeps me from playing it endlessly.
  2. The 15 Walking Tours book I bought today and my walking tour down lower Broadway.
  3. The absolutely stunning interior of The Cunard Building.
  4. The brass night deposit box I came across at the East River Savings Bank Building (aka, Century 21).  There was a place to deposit a nickel (did you have to pay to make an after-hours deposit?) and a little door marked “Take Receipt” that still opens, though nothing is inside.
  5. The fence at Bowling Green, with the stubs where the crowns were broken off 200+ years ago when the King George statue was torn down after Washington read the Declaration of Indepenence to the crowd.

Many thanks,

Me
