- Coffee-Mate (aka, water, corn syrup solids, hydrogenated vegetable oil, and some chemicals). I actually prefer it to cream; which is sort of like preferring porn to sex.
- Baby Girl, Dad and Cherry’s 4-pound chihuahua, and Coco, their white shih tzu, and their interaction with each other. They move as a pair; one is never far behind the other. They are therapy dogs and sit in on most, if not all, of Dad and Cherry’s group sessions.
- The extravagant piles of stuff in our old bed rooms, which Todd and I are going to be organizing today. Holiday decorations all over the place; chairs; throw pillows and blankets; silk flowers; papers, papers, and papers. The entire second floor is basically Dad and Cherry’s attic.
- U.S. 41 with all that is the same (the clusters of car dealerships and inexpensive one-night motels) and changed (the Krispy Kreme is gone). It stretches from Florida to a nub in a peninsula in Wisconsin falling off into Lake Michigan; but I have a sense of ownership of this little stretch between Marietta and Atlanta.
- The darkness. I love the dark.
Many thanks,
Me
