- In November of 2001 I was willing to take suggestions. I might have said this the other day when returning from the visit with Judy, but it can’t be overstated. I can take no credit for that willingness and can only offer my gratitude.
- Autumn. It still feels more like a mild summer day, but it is, as of today, Autumn.
- Collect Pond, without which there would be no New York. The poor thing was so polluted and diseased they had filled it in and it was gone by the 1810’s, but without that original source of fresh water I don’t suppose I’d be on jury duty in 111 Centre Street – the pond’s one-time location.
- Our bailiff, who introduced herself as having been off the past few days but would be with us the rest of the trial unless she “got bad news from the doctors.” She’s down the hall now on the phone trying to get the results from her radiologist.
- The hard-boiled egg I bought from the snack stand in the lobby and that I am about to eat.
Many thanks,
Me
