Day Eighty

  1. The crescent moon, to whom I just said, “hello” under my breath.
  2. Having awakened for half a minute or so this morning at 6:11, just in time to see the most spectacular grapefruit and peach sunrise, splashed across mare’s tails and the contrails of flights coming in from the coast.  Along the lines of greeting the crescent moon, I said, “holy shit” out loud to myself when I saw it.  Good one.
  3. The opportunity to serve jury duty.  It may be a little boring, but not too terribly different from what I’d be doing anyway.
  4. The scallion pancakes at Joe’s Shangai, which was a convenient stroll from the courthouse.
  5. I am not in jail, have never been, and don’t figure to be.

Many thanks,

Me
