Day a Eighty-six

  1. The texture of the blue paint on the pipe over my spot at Jivamukti.  It was painted without scraping the previous layer.  Or probably the layer before that.
  2. The full moon tonight.  Lunar eclipse tomorrow around 10:45.  I hope I remember.
  3. I saw the Pope leave this morning from my bedroom window.  A glimpse of his little Fiat as it scooted by on the FDR; and then of his helicopter.  They always have several so I don’t know which one he was in, but J saw them both.
  4. My yoga teacher today.  There was hardly any one there today and after our class he was asking a coworker why they were even there today and I told him that I’d be all askew spiritually and otherwise if he hadn’t been there today and that his presence mattered to me. And that mattered to him; he gave me a hug.
  5. The astounding bounty on display at the Union Square Greenmarket:  honey and honeybees; squash and turnips; rosemary, dill, thyme; five varieties of potato; miniature bell peppers; goat cheese, goat milk, goat meat; blueberries at $5 a pint;  maple candy; garlic and garlic powders; corn in husk; pumpkins; hydrangea; lavender.  A delicious bran muffin chased with cold apple cider.

Many thanks,

Me
