Day 10

  1. My visit with Amy today.  I only see her once a month now.
  2. What a ridiculous miracle it is that I’m laying in bed doing this on my phone.  There are so many miracles bound up in it, I don’t know where to start:  electricity, wifi, the Internet itself.  The glass in the multitouch iPhone screen; the microscopic transistors; on and on.
  3. The QWERTY keyboard layout; such a ubiquitous part of my daily life that it’s invisible; but I take a certain comfort in it.
  4. Holly pooped on the bed while I was at Nancy’s last night.  I’m not happy she pooped on the bed, especially, but I’m grateful that she misses me when I’m not here.
  5. My glasses.  In another era I would be effectively blind; at least as far as reading goes.  But then in another era I’d probably already be dead anyway.

Many thanks,

Me
