Day 132

  1. Summer in New York City; even more than summer in general. The sweltering subway stations; the vendors under their umbrellas; the girls, barely dressed. Even the smell of garbage piled up in the sun. I can’t put my finger on why, exactly, I love it so much, but immediate memories come back of the summer before senior year and feeling, I don’t know, liberated?
  2. The smell of pretzels and hot dogs at a stand on the edge of Central Park.
  3. I don’t have to wear a suit.
  4. A deep breath.
  5. A drivers license. Speaking of liberation.

Many thanks,

Me
