1. Because we were sitting in a line of cars waiting to get in to Mount Rushmore, we saw the little puffs floating off a cottonwood tree.
2. A fun day: Mount Rushmore, the (perpetually under-construction) Crazy Horse monument; Bad Lands and hours of driving in between.
3. Bad Lands, especially. Nice work!
4. Taking a wrong turn and so getting to see bison feeding just before sunset.
5. Sitting with Nancy a while in the car watching bison scratch themselves on a wooden post. And then a moment eye contact.
