1. The 4th of July.  My favorite holiday.
2. I am an American.  Enough said.
3. Nancy made French toast with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas this morning: red, white, and blue.  And we joked that the French toast was in honor of Lafayette’s contributions to the Revolution (though I don’t know what those were).
4. The fireworks are uptown this year, so we won’t see them out the window, but many years I have and that’s a very rare and privileged experience to have had.
5. Now Nancy’s making hot dogs for 4th of July dinner.
