- Sitting by the surf at Kalama Beach Park, waiting for a 5:30 outdoor meeting to begin.
- The lava stones used as a barrier between the path and the water. How far it’s traveled, that lava.
- The Sun. In general, yes, but specifically here about 10 degrees up and moving into sunset position. The cab driver said it should be beautiful tonight because there’s a lot of vog (volcanic fog) in the air.
- The massage and hydrotherapy treatment I took this afternoon. An hour wandering between a steam room and sauna to hot tubs of different colors, infused with different herbs and minerals, the showers, the heavy, pounding water of the “Hawaiian massage”, and most especially my masseur, who worked on me for 80 minutes. Sheer ecstasy and I was so aware of how wealthy I am. Many, many people work so much harder than I have the past few days and never get an afternoon like that in their lives.
- The conference has gone well and everyone from clients to speakers to participants has been happy with my work. That probably wouldn’t have been the case 15 years ago; I’m thinking back to the disastrous binge in Breckenridge.
Many thanks,
Me
